Bryna Talamantez, LMFT
Hello! I’m Bryna, a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist in DFW. I specialize in working with children, teens, adults and families who are experiencing grief, ADHD, anxiety, and life transitions. With personal experience and an extensive knowledge in the subject of grief, I decided to start my career in the mental health field in order to connect with and help those who are on their own journey with grief.
I am passionate about raising awareness and starting conversations on grief. Grief is something all of us will experience in our lifetime, but is often an avoided subject. My hope is to change that through my therapy practice, speaking engagements, and by spreading general awareness in daily interactions.
Michael Talamantez
Hi! I’m Michael Talamantez, and I’m passionate about working with kids and guiding them on their reading journey. I earned my Bachelor’s degree from the University of Oklahoma in Norman, and I’m currently pursuing my Master’s in Education at Southern Methodist University.
My passion for literacy acquisition and instruction has led me to specialize in early literacy, and I’m currently completing my Master of Education at Southern Methodist University with a graduate specialization in Learning Therapy. I am completing supervised clinical training toward full Certified Academic Language Therapist (CALT) certification through the Academic Language Therapy Association (ALTA), working under the direct supervision of a CALT-Qualified Instructor. ALTA certification requires 200+ instructional hours, 700+ supervised practicum hours, and demonstration teaching — the most rigorous dyslexia-therapy credential in the field. Every session I lead is delivered under that supervision and standard.
I spent 10 years teaching kindergarten and special education in a local school district, and it was the shift to early childhood instruction that ignited my love for teaching reading and deepened my understanding of the importance of literacy acquisition at a young age.
