Helping kids navigate grief day to day can be hard enough, and then we add the holiday season on top of it, and some days can feel like we are climbing a mountain. For kids, reading books can be helpful when navigating big feelings, because they can connect to characters that are feeling similar things to them. Externalizing our thoughts and emotions can be a big step in our processing. It is important that throughout the holiday season our kids know that it is ok for them to have fun AND miss their person.
